1. Early Childhood Hour Out (ECHO)
Parents, grandparents, nannies and caregivers: Bring your little ones to the nature center for a caregiver-guided hour of activities, fun and friendship with local families. Participate in a caregiver-led activity provided by nature center staff. Enjoy coffee, tea and conversation with other caregivers. Strengthen community connections – conversation for adults; social interaction for babies, toddlers and young children. Optional activities may take place outside, dress for the weather! This program is FREE and no registration is necessary.
2. Canterbury Village Tree Lighting
An annual tradition at Metro Detroit's 'home for the holidays'! Canterbury Village kicks off the holiday season with the lighting of our 45-foot, music synchronized, dancing lights Christmas tree! This festive event is fun for the entire family, complete with entertainment and carolers. Stores throughout the quaint village are open for holiday shopping, old fashioned carolers provide a musical atmosphere, and beloved holiday characters (including SANTA and the GRINCH!) will visit with the children! Outdoor fire pits will be stationed throughout the village for warmth, and we'll have hot cocoa and warm cider available for purchase. This event is FREE to attend, and the community is encouraged to come together and bring a donation (dry or canned goods) to help support The Village Food Pantry.
3. Bounce & Boogie
Saturday at 11am! A music and movement-based program just for ages 0-5! Join us as we dance, groove, jump, and move to our favorite songs and rhymes, promoting gross motor skills alongside early literacy!
4. Storytime at Kensington Orion
Join us for story time, finger-plays, songs, and more! Then stay to meet some new friends, play on the playground, and have a snack together. Great for kids ages 1-5 but all are welcome!
5. Play Group for Moms and Littles 0-5
You’re invited to a playgroup for Moms and their littles! Visit our newly updated nursery for a craft and playtime 
Meet new mom friends and enjoy some free coffee while watching your little ones play. Open to all moms of littles 0-5 years, regardless of religious affiliation.
