A beloved local tradition is making a big move in 2025, and organizers promise this year’s Shelby Township Down Home Days Festival will be “better than ever” in its new home at the northwest corner of 23 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue. Running May 23–26, the four-day celebration of community spirit and small-town fun features a packed schedule of live music, carnival rides, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment.

2. DINO EGG DROP!
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a… new twist on a Jurassic classic! It’s a DINO EGG DROP! Only at Canterbury Village! Not only will you walk up close among life-like, animatronic dinosaurs AND dragons – you’ll also experience the thrill of a helicopter flying overhead and dropping down dino eggs for kids to collect! All dino eggs will be turned in after the drop for a goodie bag full of candy and trinkets!

3. Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market
The Downtown Rochester Farmers’ Market will be held on the Upper Level of the East Parking Platform, at the corner of Fourth & East from 8 am – 1 pm. The market features 50+ vendors, offering locally grown or made food products.

4. Summer Sundays at Upland Hills Farm
Admission includes day access to the farm, including hayrides, milking a cow, visiting all the animals, and playground access. The concession stand is also open, guests are more then welcome to bring in food and beverages for a summer picnic. Tickets are available at the admission booth the day of the event.
